Kenai River Watershed

Kenai River
Ground-Water and Surface-Water Sites

Lower Kenai River

The lower Kenai River extends from Cook Inlet to the Soldotna Bridge, located approximately at river mile 21 (river miles are measured from the mouth of the river). The down-stream reach of the lower Kenai River is tidally influenced. The Pillars Park site is representative of this reach. The upper reach of the lower Kenai River is represented by the site located at the old Alaska Department of Transportation Parks & Facilities (ADOTPF) maintenance yard. This site is currently owned by the City of Soldotna and is being converted to a city park. The below links will take you to additional information for these two sites.
